Need a cmdlet? PSFetch it!
psFetch is a very simple tool to use so lets get started.....
The Website
Searching for a Script or cmdlet
No matter which page you are on whilst browsing psFetch the search box is always available. Up at the top right of each page there is a text box with the word Search in it. Type your search phrase in and press enter.
psFetch will then try and match your search term to items in the database.
The title of each search result can be clicked which will then show the details of a particular package. If the package is a script you'll be able to see the full script if it is a cmdlet then you will be presented with a download link. In either case you can read the package's full description and author.
Adding a Script or cmdlet
One of the most powerful features of the psFetch setup is the fact that anyone can help contribute. Click on the 'Add' link at the top of the page where you will be presented with the initial screen as shown below:
Sekecting one of the options will display a series of text boxes or other drop down menus which will allow you to enter all neccessary details. Try to fill in as much info as possible but none of it is mandatory.
Clicking add will make your new addition instantly available!
Editing package info
The current release of the psFetch website only allows you to change the Category of a particular package.
Simply click the category whilst you are viewing a package and it will present you with a drop down menu. Select the drop down menu option to
set the new category.
